Prym Long Doll Needles: 70, 80 and 127 mm
A set of 3 long Prym hand needles, in lengths of 70, 80 and 127 mm. According to Prym, the needles are made of hardened steel with a smooth coating, and their eye is punched without metal burrs, so thread passes through easily even when it is thick. The length lets you pass through a stuffed body from side to side, for example to attach an arm or sculpt the face of a fabric doll.
Why you need such a long needle
An ordinary needle does not pass through the stuffed body of a doll or cushion. A 127 mm needle passes from side to side in a single motion, so you can attach arms and legs with one stitch, pull a stitch to create eye or nose sockets, and sew a button through a cushion.
