Product description
Curved upholstery needles
A set of 3 Prym curved hand needles, semicircular in shape, in sizes 2, 4 and 5. According to Prym, the needles are made of hardened, stainless steel, are sturdy and are designed for thick materials. The curve lets you sew on one side of the fabric without reaching the other side.
Why a curved needle
On a sofa, an upholstered chair or a closed seam you cannot reach the back of the fabric. A straight needle cannot come back out. The curved needle goes in and out on the same side, so you can sew upholstery, close a tear in a cover and join fabric to fabric where there is no access.
Common uses
Repairing sofas and armchairs.
Sewing upholstery covers in place.
Leather and faux leather.
Camping cushions, mattresses and thick items.
Closing seams in stuffed cushions.
Who it is for
Upholsterers, home seamstresses doing repairs, maintenance workers, and anyone working with leather and thick fabrics. For wholesale orders: phone 03-9444226 or WhatsApp 055-2473993.
Professional tips
Hold the needle with small pliers when the fabric is especially thick.
Rotate your wrist along the arc instead of pushing straight.
Use strong upholstery thread or nylon thread.
Common mistakes
Pushing a curved needle straight. It bends and breaks.
Using a small size on very thick material. Choose the largest needle in the set.
How this model differs
This set has three curved needles in different sizes. For sewing through a mattress from side to side there are straight mattress needles, 25 cm long. All upholstery needles are in upholstery needles.
