Gütermann HT2 is a textile adhesive for bonding fabrics without sewing. It sets quickly, stays flexible after drying and holds through washing up to 40°C. Suitable for repairing a hem that has come undone, gluing appliqués and patches, and joining fabric to leather or PVC.
Why a textile adhesive
A regular adhesive hardens and creates a rigid stain in the fabric. A textile adhesive is made for fabric: the seam stays flexible, the fabric keeps bending and moving, and the bond holds even after washing. That is why HT2 is so common in workshops and among those who repair clothes at home.

Professional tips
Work on clean, dry fabric.
Apply a thin layer to one side, wait about 5 minutes and press the two pieces of fabric together.
Leave to dry for at least about 30 minutes before moving the garment.
For a more durable bond you can go over the glued area with an iron.
On new fabric, test first on a small piece.
Common mistakes
A layer that is too thick, which seeps through to the visible side of the fabric.

When to choose a different adhesive
