Product description
A long garment cover that gives the garment room
A garment cover made of black non-woven fabric in sizes 180×60 cm, with an 8 cm side gusset. The gusset is a strip of fabric sewn along the sides that creates depth inside the cover. In a flat cover the two sides of the fabric cling to the garment and press on it. Here a gap remains, so skirt pleats, lace, embroidery and layers of tulle keep their shape.
A full-length zipper opens from the shoulders to the bottom, so you put in and take out a long dress without dragging it and without pulling on the fabric. At the top there is a small clear window through which you see the fabric or the collar, and identify the garment without opening the cover. At the bottom of the cover there is a carrying handle and two metal loops. The top is rounded along the shoulder line, with an opening for the hanger hook.
Non-woven fabric is light and breathable. Unlike a sealed plastic bag, it lets air pass through, so moisture isn't trapped around the garment. The black color shields the garment from light, which is especially important for garments in bold colors, which may fade when hanging in front of a window.
Common uses
Evening and wedding dresses in a fitted or A-line cut - Storage in a salon, handing over to a client and transport to an event
Long suits and coats - Preserving the pleats and the shape of the shoulders between seasons
A whole set in one cover - Thanks to the depth you can hang two hangers in one cover, for example a dress and jacket or a suit and shirt
Stage and dance costumes - Garments with sequins, stones and embellishments, which get scratched when they rub against other clothes in a closet
Travel and flights - A garment ready for an event, hanging and not folded in a suitcase
Who the cover is for
For bridal and evening salons and fashion houses that hand over dresses to clients. For designers and seamstresses who move samples between the studio and fittings. For dress rental stores and suit stores. For theaters and dance studios that store costumes. And for anyone who wants to keep expensive clothes at home in an orderly way. For businesses we supply quantities directly from the import, with no middlemen, with personal support in the Tel Aviv showroom.
How to choose a garment cover - the difference between the models
8 cm gusset versus a flat cover - A flat cover is enough for a shirt or a simple dress. An 8 cm gusset suits garments with volume, embellishments or several layers
8 cm gusset versus a wide gusset for a wedding dress - 8 cm is enough for a fitted dress, an A-line cut and a dress with medium volume. For a princess dress with a very wide skirt you need a cover with a much wider gusset
Length 180 cm versus a short cover - The long cover is meant for maxi dresses, evening dresses and long coats. For shirts, jackets and short dresses a short cover is more convenient
Black non-woven versus a clear cover - A clear cover lets you see the whole garment, but doesn't block light. Black non-woven is breathable and conceals, so it is better suited to long-term storage
Professional tips
Clean, dry garment only - Put into the cover only after cleaning, and after the garment has dried completely. Stains left in the fabric set over time
A suitable hanger - For a heavy evening dress choose a wide hanger with inner loops, so the weight of the skirt isn't pulled from the shoulders
Folding for carrying - With a very long dress you can use the loops at the bottom to fold the cover in two and hang the bottom on the hanger hook. That way the garment doesn't drag on the floor
Labeling - In a salon with many identical covers, a sticker with the client's name and the handover date next to the window saves opening covers
Maintenance - Shake out the cover and wipe with a damp cloth. Non-woven fabric isn't meant for machine washing
Common mistakes
Long-term storage in a laundry's plastic bag - Sealed plastic traps moisture, and odor, stains and yellowing may appear in the garment. For long-term storage move the garment to a breathable cover
Cramming a dress that is too wide - A princess dress with a full skirt in a cover with an 8 cm gusset will come out wrinkled. Choose the depth by the garment's volume
A garment longer than the cover - The cover suits a garment up to about 175 cm long, including the hanger. A longer train gets pressed at the bottom and wrinkles
Closing the zipper over the fabric - When you close quickly, lace or tulle catches in the zipper teeth. Tuck the hem of the garment inside and close slowly

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What are the dimensions of the garment cover and what garment length fits in it?
The cover is 180 cm high, 60 cm wide, and has an 8 cm side gusset. It suits a garment up to about 175 cm long when hanging on a hanger, that is, maxi dresses, evening dresses, suits and long coats.
What is a side gusset and why is it important in a garment cover?
A side gusset is a strip of fabric along the walls that gives the cover depth. In this cover the gusset is 8 cm, so it can take a thick garment such as a coat, or several garments on hangers, without the fabric being crushed.
What is the cover made of, and is it suitable for long-term storage?
The cover is made of Non-Woven fabric, a breathable non-woven material. Air passes through it and moisture is not trapped, and the black color blocks light. So it is more suitable for long-term storage than a sealed plastic bag.
Does a wedding gown fit in the cover?
A fitted wedding gown, an A-line gown and a gown of medium volume fit comfortably. For a princess gown with a full skirt and a wide petticoat, a cover with a wider gusset is suitable, so the skirt isn't crushed.
What are the handle and loops at the bottom of the cover used for?
The handle lets you hold the bottom of the cover during transport. With the two metal loops, you can fold the cover in two and hang the bottom on the hanger hook, so a long garment does not drag on the floor on the way to an event or to the car.
How many garments fit in a cover with an 8 cm gusset?
Several thin garments on hangers, such as a suit and a shirt, or one thick garment such as a winter coat. When the cover is overloaded, the garments crease.
Why choose a black cover?
Black does not show dirt and keeps a tidy look even after repeated use. It suits especially suit stores and evening wear, where the cover goes to the customer.
Why is a breathable fabric cover better than the laundry's plastic bag?
The laundry's plastic bag is meant for carrying the garment home. In long-term storage it traps moisture, and may cause odor and yellowing of the fabric. A non-woven cover breathes and protects from dust, so it suits long-term storage.
Can I fly with the garment in the cover?
Yes. The cover protects the garment on the way. Before the flight, check with the airline whether you can take it into the cabin, because the rules vary between airlines.
How do I clean the cover?
Wipe it with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, and let it dry completely before putting a garment in it.
