Product description
A garment cover with a gusset: why 8 cm changes the picture
A regular garment cover is made of two sheets sewn to each other at the edges, so it is flat. Any garment with volume, such as a layered evening gown, a blazer with shoulder pads or a wool coat, is pressed between the two walls and creases. In this cover, the front and back are joined by an 8 cm side gusset that runs along the entire perimeter. The result is a cover with real thickness: the garment hangs inside freely, the fabric doesn't fold over on itself, and embellishments such as sequins, beads and lace don't get worn against the wall.
The cover is made of non-woven fabric, a fabric that air passes through. It protects the garment from dust, abrasion and light, and because it breathes, moisture isn't trapped inside as in a plastic bag. The gray shade is neutral and clean, looks tidy in a closet and in a stockroom, and is easy to combine with covers in other colors.
What the cover has
A full zipper from the shoulder to the bottom, so you can insert a long dress without rolling or dragging it
A small clear window at the top, enough to identify the garment and small enough that most of the garment stays protected from light
Rounded shoulders with a top opening for the hanger hook
A carry handle and two metal loops at the bottom, for folding the cover upward and carrying it without the hem touching the floor
Common uses
Seasonal closet storage of evening gowns, maxi dresses and long coats
Hanging two items on one hanger, for example a suit with a blouse or a dress with a bolero, thanks to the inner volume
Transporting a garment to an event, a fitting or a repair at a seamstress, in a car or on a flight
Neat handover of a finished garment to a customer
Protecting display garments and samples between photo shoots, exhibitions and displays
Who the cover is for
Evening and bridal salons
Dresses for rent and for sale are stored in the stockroom without creases, and each cover is identified through the window. When handing over to a customer, the garment leaves the salon in professional packaging that can be carried in one hand.
Fashion designers, seamstresses and studios
Finished work waiting for handover stays clean, and a garment fitted again and again on a dress form travels between the studio and the customer's home without getting dirty.
Suit and evening wear stores
A suit with a blazer, a structured jacket and a long coat keep their shoulder shape in this cover, thanks to the depth that prevents pressing.
Home use
For a dress from a family event, a suit worn a few times a year or an expensive winter coat waiting for the next season.
For bulk purchases, for salons, stores and fashion houses, there are importer prices at wholesale. For details, contact us by phone or WhatsApp.
Professional tips
Hang the garment on a hanger whose width matches the shoulders, and only then put it into the cover. A hanger that is too narrow leaves bumps in the shoulders even when there is a gusset.
Close the zipper in a slow motion and hold the fabric away from the teeth, especially with chiffon and tulle dresses.
A dress with a train is folded once at the bottom, inside the gusset, and not stuffed.
In a stockroom or a salon, stick a card in front of the window with the customer's name, size or order number, and then you can find every garment without opening a cover.
Leave a few centimeters between one cover and the next on the rail. Even a breathable cover needs air to flow around it.
Common mistakes
Keeping a garment for a long time in the laundry's plastic bag: The plastic doesn't breathe, and moisture trapped in it may leave odor, stains and yellowing. The plastic is meant for short transport only.
Inserting a garment that hasn't dried completely: Even in a breathable cover, a damp garment closed in a closet may develop an odor. Store only a clean, completely dry garment.
Choosing a flat cover for a garment with volume: A garment with layers or embellishments gets crushed in a cover without a side gusset. Such garments need depth.
A cover that's too short: A hem that sticks out below the cover is exposed to dust and friction. For maxi dresses and long coats, choose a length of 180 cm.
How to choose among our covers
This model, gray with an 8 cm gusset, is intended for garments of medium volume: evening gowns, fitted or A-line wedding gowns, suits and coats. For a puffy wedding gown with a wide petticoat, the wedding gown cover with a 25 cm gusset is the right choice. For thin garments and for dense storage, a flat cover is enough. All the models, lengths and materials can be found in the Dress and Suit Covers category.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What are the dimensions of the garment cover with the gusset?
60 cm wide, 180 cm long and an 8 cm side gusset. At this length it takes maxi dresses, evening gowns that reach the floor and long coats, and the gusset gives the garment inner volume so it isn't pressed.
What is the difference between a garment cover with a gusset and a flat cover?
A cover with a gusset has a side wall, here 8 cm wide, that holds the front away from the back. In a flat cover the two sheets are sewn directly to each other, and the garment is pressed between them. The gusset protects layers, shoulder pads and embellishments, and lets you hang two items on one hanger.
What is the cover made of and is it suitable for long storage?
The cover is made of Non-Woven fabric, a breathable non-woven material. It protects from dust, abrasion and light and does not trap moisture like nylon, so it suits long-term storage in a closet, provided the garment is clean and completely dry before it is closed.
Can I store a wedding dress in this cover?
Yes, if the dress is fitted, straight, A-line or medium in volume. For a full-skirted wedding dress with a wide petticoat, a cover with a 25 cm depth is more suitable, giving the skirt enough room.
Can I order covers in bulk for a salon or store?
Yes. The cover is sold individually and also in quantities, and there are importer wholesale prices for salons, stores and fashion houses. For details, contact us by phone at 03-9444226 or on WhatsApp at 055-2473993.
Why choose a gray cover?
Gray is a neutral color that does not show dust and dirt, and looks tidy in a closet and in a store. It suits garments in every color.
How many garments fit in a cover with an 8 cm gusset?
Several thin garments on hangers, or one thick garment such as a coat. When the cover is overloaded, the garments crease.
What are the handle and the loops at the bottom used for?
They help fold the cover in half and carry it, so a long garment doesn't drag on the floor during transport.
What is the clear window for?
The window at the top lets you identify the garment without opening the zipper. This is convenient in a closet with several covers, in a bridal salon and at a dry cleaner.
How do I clean the cover?
Wipe it with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, and let it dry completely before putting a garment in it.
