Temporary Spray Adhesive for Fabric – For Cutting, Marking and Screen Printing, 500 ml

SKU: 630001
Product description
This is a spray adhesive for temporary fixing. It holds fabric, pattern paper or a stencil in place during work, and lets you lift and reposition the material several times. The bond isn't meant to hold for a long time, but to keep the fabric stable until the cutting, marking or printing is finished.
What is a temporary spray adhesive
With a permanent adhesive, the goal is a bond that doesn't come apart. With a temporary adhesive, the goal is the opposite: a gentle hold that keeps the fabric from moving, and a clean release at the end of the work. That's why suits the preparation stages, before sewing or printing, and not gluing a finished product.
Common uses
Fixing fabric to the cutting table, so it doesn't move under the scissors
Attaching pattern paper and stencils to fabric for accurate marking
Fixing fabric and paper in screen printing
Holding fabric layers in patchwork and quilting before sewing
Temporary fixing of paper, aluminum foil and plastic sheets
Who it's for
Pattern cutters and workshops, fashion design studios, screen printing shops and anyone who works with fabric scissors on smooth fabrics that tend to shift. Schools and businesses have wholesale prices by contacting us.
Professional tips
Clean the surface of dust and grease before spraying.
Shake well and spray a thin, even layer from a distance of about 30 cm.
Spray the reverse side of the fabric or the paper, and not the side that will be shown.
For thin or light fabric, test on a scrap before working.
Common mistakes
A layer that's too thick, which makes the hold stronger than needed.
Using as a permanent adhesive for a finished product.
Spraying near an open flame or exposing the spray can to heat and sun.
How it differs from other spray adhesives
Spray 2000 gives a strong, permanent bond, and sprays adhesive webs for upholstery and foam. This is the only one of the three intended for temporary fixing and repositioning. All the adhesives on the site are gathered in the Glues category.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What is temporary spray adhesive for fabrics?
A spray that holds fabric, pattern paper or a stencil in place while working, and lets you lift and reposition. It is intended for preparation stages such as cutting, marking and screen printing, and not for permanent bonding.
Can I lift the fabric and put it back down again?
Yes. That is exactly its purpose: a temporary hold that lets you correct the position of the fabric or paper before cutting or printing.
Does the spray leave stains on the fabric?
Applied in a thin layer, it is designed not to leave stains. On delicate, thin or light fabric, test first on a scrap, and spray the reverse side.
Why use spray adhesive in screen printing?
So that the fabric or paper does not shift on the surface during printing. That way each layer of ink sits in exactly the same place.
Is it suitable for quilting and patchwork?
Yes. It holds the layers of fabric together until you sew them, instead of dozens of pins.
From what distance do you spray?
From about 30 cm, in a thin, even layer. Spraying from close up creates too strong a hold and spots of glue.
How do you store the spray?
In a cool place, away from heat above 50°C, direct sunlight and open flame, and out of reach of children.
Can the spray be ordered in quantity?
Yes. For sewing workshops, print shops and design schools there are wholesale prices when you contact us.
