Product description
A semi-transparent garment cover that shows what is hanging inside
A garment cover made of PEVA (polyethylene vinyl acetate) is a cover for a hanging garment. It protects against dust, liquids and handling, and thanks to the semi-transparent material you can identify the garment without opening the zipper. PEVA contains no chlorine, so it does not have the sharp smell of PVC plastic. The material is soft and flexible, does not crack when folded and can be used again and again.
The cover has a full zipper in the center of the front. It opens from top to bottom, so you can put in a coat or dress without creasing it and take out a garment without removing the hanger from the rail. At the top there is an opening for the hanger hook, and the edges have a reinforced finish that keeps the shape of the cover after many uses.
Four lengths in a uniform 60 cm width
60×80 cm - for shirts, blazers, short jackets and sweaters on a hanger
60×100 cm - for a suit (jacket and trousers folded on one hanger), short dresses and short coats
60×120 cm - for knee-length dresses, trench coats and mid-length coats
60×140 cm - for midi dresses, long coats and robes
Full-length evening dresses and wedding dresses need a 180 cm cover. You can find them in the dress and suit covers category.
White or black, both semi-transparent
The white version is lighter and lets you clearly see the color and cut of the garment. It suits a home wardrobe and a shop where an item needs to be pulled out quickly. The black version conceals more, and looks polished on a display rack, when delivering to a customer and in a studio.
Common uses
Seasonal storage in the wardrobe - winter coats in summer and evening wear between events
Transport and travel - the cover protects a suit or dress on the way to an event, a photo shoot or a performance
Fashion stores and boutiques - for holding reserved items and handing them to the customer
Laundries and dry cleaners - instead of a disposable plastic bag, when the customer wants a cover that can be reused
Design and sewing studios - to protect a garment in progress between fittings
Theater and productions - to arrange costumes by character or scene, so each costume can be identified at a glance
Who the cover is for
For home: for anyone who wants an organized wardrobe where every item is visible without opening ten covers.
For business: for clothing stores, designers, seamstresses, evening-wear salons, laundries and costume departments. Uniform sizes, two colors to separate types of items, and sales by the piece as well as in bulk. For wholesale orders, get in touch and receive a quote.
Professional tips
Measure from the hanger, not the shoulder: measure the garment from the top of the hanger to the hem, and choose a cover at least 10 cm longer, so the hem is not crushed at the bottom
A width of 60 cm suits standard adult hangers. If the hanger is especially wide or the shoulders are padded, make sure the hanger fits without straining the seams
A clean, completely dry garment: only put in a garment that has been fully washed or dry-cleaned. PEVA does not let moisture out
Separation by color: in a shop or studio you can use white for ready items and black for reserved items or those awaiting repair
Cleaning: wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash or dry with heat
Common mistakes
"PEVA is a breathable material": that is not true. PEVA is water-resistant and lets very little air through. It suits seasonal storage, transport and quick identification. For long-term storage of a wedding dress or a silk garment in a damp apartment, a non-woven fabric cover is better
Buying a cover that is too short: a dress that touches the bottom of the cover creases at the hem. When in doubt, choose the next length up
Leaving the dry-cleaning bag under the cover: take the garment out of the laundry's plastic bag before putting it in the cover
Hanging near a heat source: PEVA is sensitive to high heat. Do not hang it right next to a boiler, an oven or a sunny window

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Which sizes does the PEVA garment cover come in?
Four sizes, all 60 cm wide: 60×80, 60×100, 60×120 and 60×140 cm. The length is measured from the top of the cover to the bottom.
What cover length suits a suit and which suits a dress?
For a suit on one hanger, 60×100 cm is suitable. For a knee-length dress, 60×120 cm is suitable, and for a midi dress or a long coat 60×140 cm. The rule: measure the garment from the top of the hanger to the hem and add at least 10 cm.
What is the cover made of?
PEVA, polyethylene vinyl acetate. It is a flexible, semi-transparent, waterproof, chlorine-free material, so it has no PVC plastic smell.
Can the garment be identified without opening the cover?
Yes. The material is semi-transparent, and you can see the garment's color and cut through it. In the white version the garment is seen more clearly, and the black version hides more.
Is a PEVA cover suitable for long-term storage of a wedding dress?
It is less suitable. PEVA lets very little air through, so it is good for seasonal storage and transport. For long-term storage of a wedding dress, a 180 cm non-woven fabric cover is better.
Is the cover waterproof?
Yes. PEVA blocks water, dust and dirt, so the cover suits transporting garments and travel.
What is the difference between PEVA and a regular plastic bag?
PEVA is thicker and more durable, chlorine-free, and has a full-length zipper, so you can use the cover again and again. A thin plastic bag is intended mainly for single use.
Semi-transparent white or semi-transparent black?
In both colors you can see the garment through the cover. White gives a bright, clean look, and black hides more and suits dark garments.
How do I clean the cover?
Wipe it with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, and let it dry completely before putting a garment in it.
Can I order covers in bulk for a business?
Yes. We are direct importers, and for bulk orders for stores, bridal salons, dry cleaners and sewing workshops you can contact us.
